Charles Picart Le Doux

Charles Alexandre Picart Le Doux was born on July 12, 1881 in Paris. He studied at the Académie Julian and at the Beaux-Arts in Paris until 1902.
At first he lived in Montmartre and frequented in Le Lapin Agile where he met Suzanne Valadon.

From 1904, he exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in which he became a member, then at the Salon des Indépendants. He exhibited at the Charles Vildrac gallery. In 1910, the Biot gallery devoted his first major solo exhibition to him. That same year, he was received at the National Society of Fine Arts.
