René-Michel Desergy (who also used the pseudonym Désiré Van Rowel, also spelled Desiré) was a French prewar spanking novel author.
The author possibly also worked as a spanking artist. His work was published in the famous collection Les Orties Blanches.
"Désiré Van Rowel" is obviously a pseudonym, possibly in reference to the author Aimé Van Rod: Désiré means 'desired' and a rowel is the sharp pointy ring used by cowboys on their boots to kick or spur the horse.
Aimé Van Rod was a French author and a major contributor to early 20th century French spanking literature.
"Aimé Van Rod" is obviously a pseudonym: Aimé means 'to love' and Rod means rod.
